European Roulette Online Casino

You probably came to Rose Slots to play fantastic online slot games, and if you did, you're in the right place. We have an amazing blend of time-honored classics and brand-new video slots available for you to play in our library, and if you're a registered Rose Slots player, you're free to play them any time you like. We're more than just an online slots website though; we consider ourselves to be a fully functioning online casino. If you walked into a physical casino in the real world, you'd expect to see more than just slot games. In fact, you'd be very disappointed if you didn't see a roulette wheel. We're not in the business of allowing anyone to be disappointed, so you can play roulette at Rose Slots, too!

This particular virtual roulette simulator is brought to us by Genii and has the simple and formal title European Roulette. The ‘European' part of the name is important, as it identifies which version of the wheel the game is played on. If you were unaware there were different forms of roulette, we'll explain it simply. There's European roulette, and there's American roulette. They're both played in exactly the same way, with one crucial difference. In European roulette, there's only one ‘zero' value, marked in green on the wheel. In American roulette, there are two, the second of which is marked as a double zero. That means there's one extra slot the ball could land in, and therefore a marginally lower chance it will land in whichever slot you've placed your bet on.

One slot might not sound like it will make a huge difference, but it does. It ups the number of possible final destinations for the roulette ball from 37 to 38. If we're talking percentages, that makes it 2.7% less likely that you'll get the outcome you want from the spin. If you only play for one single spin, then it will barely make any difference at all, but if you're sticking around to play ten, twenty or thirty spins, that tiny difference really starts to add up. Once you're past your thirty-eighth spin, you're statistically likely to have lost twice as often on an American roulette wheel as you would have done on a European equivalent. That's why you should avoid playing American roulette wheels whenever possible. If there's a European wheel available, play that instead.

European Roulette Online Features

As this is a roulette simulator and not an online slot, European Roulette doesn’t come with any bonus features. You wouldn’t expect a physical roulette table to suddenly pop open and start offering you side games, and so that doesn’t happen here! This is an authentic simulator which allows you to place bets exactly the same way you would as if you were sat at a physical table. You can keep things simple and bet on red or black if you wish. You could bet on even numbers, odd numbers, high or low, or any individual number with odds of 36/1.

Where European Roulette goes a step further than other virtual roulette games you may have played is in offering you some of the more unusual betting strategies at the click of a button. A hardened casino veteran is probably already familiar with them, but in case you’re not, here they are.

If you select Red Splits, you're betting that the ball will land on one of the spaces on the wheel where two red numbers sit together. That's 9 and 12, 16 and 19, 18 and 21, and 27 and 30.

If you choose to bet on Black Splits, you’re doing exactly as above, but on the spaces where black spaces intersect instead of red.

Voisins Du Zero, with its delightfully French name, is a bet that coves the green zero space, and the sixteen numbers which sit either side of it. That covers one-third of the roulette wheel.

Tiers du Cylindre also covers a third of the wheel, but this time it’s the third directly opposite that which is covered by Voisins Du Zero.

There’s nothing to say you have to take any of these bets - you can play however you like - but it’s nice to be able to select them with one click rather than spending time lining them all up individually.

European Roulette Developer - Genii

You can tell a lot about a company by the way it draws up its business strategy. In the case of Genii, they've strategically opened offices in the UK, Malta, and Vietnam so they can do what's known as ‘following the sun' in the business world. In practice, that means that no matter what time of day it is, there's always at least one Genii office open, and therefore no downtime, and permanent customer support availability. As a developer, Genii is quite literally working 24/7.

If you're looking at their name and wondering how it's supposed to be pronounced, the company is so concerned that people get this right that they've included a pronunciation guide on the homepage on their website! It's ‘jee-nee-ahy,' so be sure to get it right if you ever meet one of their staff in real life.

Genii make two key pledges on their website - firstly that they don't do things in half measures, and secondly that they only go for ‘cutting edge technology.' That's a mission statement of total commitment (made easier when you work every hour of the day!) and the creation of slots and gaming products that look and feel like they push the limits of what's possible. European Roulette, as quite a simple game, may not be the best example of that. Small Soldiers and Siren's Serenade will give you a better feel for what this developer is truly capable of.
