We can't decide if the name of this slot from brand new developer Slingshot Studios is a spelling mistake or a play on words. If they were trying to refer to a gang of zombies, the correct spelling would be ‘horde.' If they're implying that the zombies have a lot of valuables in their possession, then ‘hoard' would be accurate. As this is an online slots, and the aim of the game is to take money away from the zombies, we'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was an intentional play on words.

It's a standard 5x3 layout with only nine fixed paylines. That's not to say it hasn't been built with love - the post-apocalyptic city visible behind the reels is suitably foreboding, and there are rows of green, dead arms poking out from behind the reels and grasping for you. On the reels, as you might expect from a traditional-style slot, the lower values consist of playing cards 10 through to A. For once though, we’re not annoyed to see them. As we’ve alluded to a couple of times, it’s still very early days for Slingshot Studios, who only opened for business in September 2018. The ‘about us' text on Slingshot's website refers to the company's staff as a diverse group with plenty of industry experience, and interestingly lists illustration and animation before any other of their skills.
